Your account dashboard contains all functions related to bidding, and setting up your account is simple.
For online-only auctions, no separate registration is required—placing a bid automatically registers you.
Once you’ve registered for a sale, you can submit your maximum absentee bids, arrange for phone bids on the day of the sale, or return to our website to bid live online.

Bidding Options
Online Platforms
We offer three online platforms to ensure all bidders can access the same items and bid simultaneously. Choosing a platform is simply a matter of personal preference.
Phone
All phone bidders are required to complete a bid form in full at least 48 hours prior to the sale. Bids will not be accepted on the day of the auction. Phone bidding is limited. A representative from Main Auction Galleries will contact you on the day of the auction to execute your bids.
Absentee
Absentee bids are submitted through Main Auction Galleries. All bidders must complete a bid form in full at least 48 hours prior to the sale. Absentee bids will not be accepted on the day of the auction. Representatives will place your maximum bids on your behalf.
How Bidding Works
Before the Live Auction
Place maximum bids in advance. These may be executed immediately (advance bids) or by the auctioneer during the live sale (absentee bids).
During the Live Auction
Enter the online auction room and place your bid once the auctioneer opens the lot. Follow bidding activity in real time on your selected platform.
Payment
All merchandise must be paid in full before removal.
Your total will include:
- Hammer price
- Buyer’s premium
- Overhead premium
- Applicable taxes
- Resale royalty (where applicable)
